Silver Saddle Ranch

Several moms from our class took the kids to a ranch about 40 minutes away this morning...the kids enjoyed running free and seeing some horses, goats and swans, followed by lunch at McDonald's...doesn't get much better than that :)

Dainty Little Lady one minute and then the next...not so much...

Lil' Pink

We used to call Grace 'Baby Pink' when she was teeny tiny but now she is truly 'Lil' Pink...she LOVES the color pink and loves to say 'pink'. Thank you Grammy/aka Meemee for this adorable outfit!!

Just Like Daddy

I took this picture to show off her cute jammies but once I downloaded it, I noticed how much Grace looks like David in this shot...well, we all know she looks like David, but when he was about this age, it is uncanny how much they look alike.

Breakfast At Crazy Otto's

After our sunrise photo shoot some of the families met up for breakfast in Rosamond (about 15 minutes from here) at a little diner called Crazy Otto's. Yummy food. Afterwards, Grace enjoyed running around in the dirt :)

Dinner at the Meyer's...always a good time...

Mowing the Lawn with Dada

Grace and Dada sharing a popsicle and a kiss

New Bike

Here's Grace's new bike...she loves to 'ding' the bell and more often than not wants to push the bike instead of ride it...takes alot of patience to let her!

Just Hangin' Out

Not much is new...Grace still goes to daycare three mornings a week, Mon-Wed-Fri from 7:30 to 11:30 (and why is it on the mornings that she goes, I have to wake her up at 7:00 but any other morning she is awake and ready to go on her own!!) I am trying to get into shape before Baby #2, so when she is at daycare, I'm on my road bike, or at the gym making a fool of myself in Zumba class (but it's so much fun! I feel like I'm at a salsa club at 9:00 in the morning!) I try not to head into town all that often as it only results in money being spent...but I do enjoy it from time to time! :)
David is busy with school, flying alot and collecting lots of data that has to be put into reports and analyzed. Mostly we see him for dinner and our nightly ventures to the playground...we're counting down the days until my Mom and Grammy come for a visit and then only a month and a half later, David's mom will be here for Thanksgiving!
Saturday morning we take our spouse class picture...we're Bond girls, we'll be all dressed up and posed around a fancy car. And then hopefully by lunch time I'll have the car packed and Grace and I ready to go to Fresno for the weekend to visit my Aunt Sharon and Uncle John!
Ok, off to pick up Grace from school...Love to you all...

Luau

So each TPS class has a "100 day party" and a "50 day party"...100 days until graduation and 50 days until graduation. The class throws their own 100 day party and the junior class behind them throw them a 50 day party. So our senior class (graduating in December) held their 100 day party last night and it was so much fun! Their theme was a luau and they blocked off ends of a street and had a moon bounce for the kids, a hula dance contest, great food and even a movie being projected onto someone's garage with chairs lined up in the driveway (they showed 101 Dalmations...fitting)
I know one of these pictures is kind of blurry but it shows how much fun Grace was having in the moon bounce...David was voted into the hula dance competition and as soon as I get that video uploaded I'll post it for all to see! :)

Our garden

Thanks for my jammies Linley!

"I'm a big girl now!"

Here's a picture taken by our good friend Carrie, of Grace giving her bottles to "Baby Jacob". I wasn't planning on it, but the other night thought, what the heck, I'll see if she wants her milk in a cup instead of her 'ba ba'...she seemed interested and we made a big deal about her 'big girl cup' and she drank it all and went right to sleep with only a few cries for 'ba ba'. Next day, she gave them away and we've been bottle free for 3 days now! I always knew she'd do it when she was ready. My mom said I gave up my pacifiers like that at 2. Now we just have to work on drinking our milk cold and not needing it before nap and bedtime! Baby steps!

"Man, I make this headband look good"

I thought two pigtails was a milestone but now one ponytail in the back means she really has hair! And she enjoyed putting my headband on and admiring herself in the mirror...maybe i don't have a tomboy after all!

Grace in her room after nap the other day...

Notice at the end her version of "Yes Mama"...I tried in vain to get her to learn "Yes Mama" or even "yes please" or I'd even just take "Yes" but she has learned to say "Uh hunh"...lovely. :)

This is when Daddy does Grace's hair...

Big Bear Lake, CA...Labor Day Weekend

Here's a few pictures from our trip to Big Bear Lake this weekend...we shared a 4 bedroom cabin with two other TPS families and had such a great time. There were two other girls Grace's age for her to play with (or rather, not share her toys with :)
Notice the picture of Grace sleeping soundly in her pack and play because that was a fleeting moment - she decided she'd rather be up and playing the rest of that night and the next - it reminded me of those early months with a newborn...hmmmm, do we really want another one? Yes, Mom, don't panic, we actually do :)
