Ellie and Ava

Well for those of you who don't know, starting the end of this month and beginning of September, I will be watching these 2 darling little girls, Monday through Thursday...it should be a win-win for everyone, they'll be cared for in a safe, loving environment, (good practice for Baby #2 and teaching Grace to share and be patient) and it gives me enough of an income that Grace gets to attend a daycare two half days a week to interact with kids her own age, plus some spending money (I know, you're thinking "Sarah and shopping??! No way" ) I can't wait to get started!

"Cinderelli, Cinderelli, night and day it's Cinderelli..."

Here's our redneck baby, playing outside in just her underwear and bare feet...saw Daddy sweeping and of course had to help him...needless to say, between the popsicle on her face and the dirty feet, a bath was needed!

"What's Daddy got in here?"

"This looks good...now what can I do with them...hmmm.."

Red Rock Canyon Park

Emily and Christian and their baby Ellie took us to Red Rock Canyon last Sunday and boy did we luck out...it had been overcast and storming most of the day which kept the temps down to 90 degrees (can you imagine? in Vegas?!) and it was just beautiful there...Grace had a BLAST climbing the rocks and hiking on her own - BEAUTIFUL place. Will definitely go back there many times during our stay here.

Thanks Mimi!

Grace looking adorable, if I do say so myself, in a new outfit from Mimi and Pop-pop...thank you!!

Backyard Project

There's one section of our backyard that doesn't have any grass or rocks or plants or anything, so we spent last night placing some new sod down, lining it with bricks and we'll fill in the back space by the fence with some new plants/bushes soon too...then a new shed will go in the very back corner...Grace had fun helping!

Daddy's Little Helper

So we've got one smart little cookie on our hands...last night right as I was about to shoo her upstairs to bed, she realized she might be able to buy some time and asked "Where's Daddy?" Well the answer to that question is most always, "In the Garage" She runs out there and says in her cutest-Daddy-can't-resist-me-voice "Can I help you Daddy?" Well he couldn't contain his grin, plopped her up on his chair in front of his work station and let her have a go at the tools...complete with a set of safety glasses...smart little booger got to stay up an extra 10 minutes!!

First Day of School

Today was Grace's first day at school...she was very excited last night as we packed her new lunch box (thanks Sari!) She'll go twice a week, half a day...

Pinkalicious

Granny Hoffman sent Grace this awesome book called Pinkalicious where a little girl eats too many pink cupcakes and wakes up the next morning pink all over! We have had to read that book EVERY naptime and EVERY bedtime since she got it...we've read it so much that Grace has it memorized and reads it to me! Obviously we had to make pink cupcakes just like in the book...thanks Granny!

Potty Training

We started potty training this past Monday and so far so good! We've only had 3 accidents when Mommy forgot to remind her and she was too busy playing! She gets to go pick out a doll at the store today after school for doing so well...

Old video from Edwards, before we moved

Dancin' at the Hoffbrau House

"What are THOSE Mommy??"

Those would be raindrops Grace! It actually rained this morning, it was overcast and only hit 90 degrees!!!

Practicing...

Are we dressing for warm weather or cold, Grace?

My little flamenco dancer

Granny Hoffman bought this beautiful dress and fan for Grace while she was vacationing in Spain (thank you!!) She loved it instantly and had to wear it with her princess dress up shoes...

Hard to say 'Goodbye'

Our dear friends, the Marils, drove to Vegas during their last vacation in the States before heading back to Isreal...we got to babysit Gili one afternoon, had a pool party with them at the Caspers, and enjoyed having them over for dinner one night as well...they left this morning and it was sad to see them go but we hope to see them again someday!!

Goofing around before naptime today...

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th! We're still unpacking (will it ever end?) but we want to take our time and get things organized and put away neatly since we may actually be in one place longer than a year or 18 months!!! We've joined the Las Vegas Athletic Club and we are IN LOVE...quickly becoming gym addicts...they have a fantastic child care room for Grace while we work out...I'm really looking forward to finally getting back into shape now that my baby is 2 1/2 years old!!!

Grace's room...

Still need to hang the curtains properly (a fork and knife, if you look closely, do the job really well but aren't going to cut it much longer :) and do some touch up paint on her walls where the previous owners left patch spots...

Grace's bathroom...two adjoining rooms/areas

Happy 4th!

Due to the heat, we stayed home for the fireworks, did some sparklers and small ones in our backyard and then brought some chairs and the rest of the fireworks to our driveway, had some cold refreshments and let Grace stay up late. Here's David holding her up high to see the bigger fireworks up in the sky.

Bravin' the big fireworks (big for a 2 year old)

Notice the look of TERROR on her face as she's running away from the lit firework!
