Jumping gone wrong...
Thankfully this mama was out of town for this, so I didn't have to see my poor baby flip over the handles and land on her back...ouch! Daddy was taking pictures and encouraging her to jump as high as she could...well she sure can jump high, unfortunately she just keeps going and going!

"Lullaby...and good night..."
Little man must be growing, he took a 3 hour nap this morning that I had to wake him up from to go pick up Grace from school at 12:30! He NEVER takes a 3 hour + nap!

Fancy hair for a party...started out as just braids but it just didn't seem right...
Backtracking a little, Miss Thang has some pretty definite ideas about how she likes her hair and I do respect that, since it's all about comfort for her and why should we stress too much about her looks as long as she's comfortable right? Well some days, I say heck with comfort, let's see some cute hair :) Snd either it involves lots of tears or a fun game of Salon, depending on how much time we have. This day we had lots of time so she sat on the stool in my salon and here's how it went:
Me: "So Mrs. Hoffman, what do you do for a living?" as I'm brushing and braiding hair...
Grace: "I work on a plane."
Me: "Oh! You serve the drinks and snacks?"
Grace, shocked and a bit put out: "No! I FLY the plane!"
Me: "Oh! Of course! Sorry. And are you married?"
Grace: "Yes, his name is Derek."
Me: "And what does Derek do?"
Grace: "He works on the plane too."
Me: "Oh! Does he fly the plane with you?"
Grace, again shocked and now a bit testy: "No! He does the drinks and snacks!"

Photo Shoot for Father's Day
The only reason it's safe to post these tonight is because David is camping on a mountain right now and will see the framed pictures when he comes home tomorrow morning...he's been wanting pics of me and the kids on his desk at work for awhile now so I had the brilliant idea of doing the $10 special where you choose one pose and get a zillion sizes...they got me good though when they took a zillion POSES, all so cute, too cute to pass on and instead of $10 I spent $100! I think they whispered to Thomas a request for an insane about of screaming so that my brain was sufficiently joggled and shut down so I was like a fumbling fool saying yes to all these poses and packages :) Smart people...but at the end of the day as I look over the pictures I am happy with them all and glad we did it...I've framed the one of Thomas and Grace in their flight suits standing up and the one of the three of us, for his desk at work. That oughta do, huh? :)

Last Day of School
Too funny comparing the pictures...clearly Mommy was in a fog on the first day of school, having given birth a week prior, the girl was lucky she went out the door with clothes on and matching shoes :) Last Day of school I had my act together and even managed to WIN the battle on pigtails and adorable jean shorts!!!
