We went to breakfast Sunday morning with Gili and his parents, Sari and Rotem, in Tehachapi...it was so nice to get away and get that small town feeling...then we took the kiddos to the park and they had a blast. Miraculously, we made it home before Grace fell asleep in the car so we all got naps!

So it's a wonder the child is even napping at all right now for all the sugar she consumed...the house is a mess, so is the kitchen, but we had fun and that's all that matters right? :)

Update

So, what's new? Hmmm...well our class has been taking a beating with one illness after another...and Grace has gotten them all...the child just can't stay healthy more than a few days! But we're done with the throwing up and the diarrhea and just working with a cough and runny nose from a cold two weeks old now! I've kept her home from daycare a few days to rest...needless to say, not much has gotten done around the house.

This is a quiet weekend, one of the few in the next month or so...we might go to a little town north of us called Tehachapi to pick some apples or just enjoy the small town feeling.

Well, Grace is in bed and David and I are going to watch a movie so enough for now! Hope everyone is doing well...Love, Sarah

Well, "mimi", "bootsie" and I had a very successful shopping day on Friday at the outlets and bought Grace this dress and these pink boots...my little country girl.

Grace keeps looking for Mimi and Bootsie all over the house...we miss you two very much :(

Grace's Pumpkin

Grace picked out her very own pumpkin over the weekend and keeps saying "mouse" when she sees it because she remembers that they made a Mickey Mouse out of pumpkins at Disney...so I think we'll have to carve hers to look like Mickey.

Another great Hoffman find...(well thanks to Sally and Matt who scoped it out at a yard sale across the street) $25 because it didn't work but David had it up and running in half an hour. She loves it!

What a magical day...I'm such a sap, but to see Grace take in all the sights and the parade and the 'magic', it brought tears to my eyes...and I even heard Mom and Grammy oohing and aahing and getting excited when they saw all the characters in the parade :)
