So, a miracle happens and your hubby has the day off AND both kids are in school...
David very excitedly tells me he has a great date day planned and I admit I gave him some hell when he told me he wanted to go hiking. I'm not the most adventurous, outdoorsy kinda gal and anyone who knows me, knows I'd go more for the movie/nice romantic lunch/dinner kind of date. But I decided to shut my mouth, put on a smile and go for it. We decided to hike Cathedral Rock and Echo Falls...about 2.5 hrs total...A LOT of uphill but man was it beautiful. I have to give full credit to David for picking the most romantic, amazing date day, it is one I will remember for a very long time!! Thank you my love!
This wine never tasted so good as it did on top of a mountain!
I knew David had packed us some sandwiches, but I did not know that he packed sweet little "courses" ;) The first course was the cheese and wine course (sliced up string cheese, that's how we roll) followed by some awesome ham and salami bagel sandwiches and then the final course: champagne and chocolate! So sweet!

Action!
She had two different sets of lines, each one ending in Spanish, that her little butterfly group did together, plus a handful of songs...pretty perfect play for Kindergarteners I must say...not too long, everyone got their moment (so their parents could have theirs ;), the songs were adorable, costumes even better (all done by their teachers) We loved it!
Lawwwd child...
turns out you THINK you have yourself a little lady who knows how to sit still and proper, and then you catch shots like this one in particular...

Time for an early evening flight...
After dinner the other night (the ONE night last week when it wasn't windy) we drove up to the top of our neighborhood/hill (no cars, room for the kids to run and explore and a great stretch of pavement for take offs and landings) I know David is in his element and happy as a clam when he has the time to fly and share his hobbies with his family...I sit back with the camera, the kids alternate between exploring and participating and as the sun was setting, it was pretty magical. Just wish my Dad was here to share it with him, he loves to fly almost as much!
