Time for an early evening flight...

After dinner the other night (the ONE night last week when it wasn't windy) we drove up to the top of our neighborhood/hill (no cars, room for the kids to run and explore and a great stretch of pavement for take offs and landings) I know David is in his element and happy as a clam when he has the time to fly and share his hobbies with his family...I sit back with the camera, the kids alternate between exploring and participating and as the sun was setting, it was pretty magical. Just wish my Dad was here to share it with him, he loves to fly almost as much!

Grace gets a lesson...

We see it Daddy!

A couple of close ups...

which with a 2 year old you never know what you're gonna get...

Tianna wanted a turn in the pilot's seat...

She looks quite comfy in there! Ready to serve up some pretzels and drinks I think! "ladies and gentleman, the captain has now turned on the 'fasten seatbelt' light..."

Now it's Thomas' fireman's turn...

Would you look at that?

Turns out Mr Brave Fireman wasn't the biggest fan of flying! Kicked a hole right through the covering in a desperate attempt to escape... ;)

St. Patty's Day...

was kinda nasty outside! Well, Vegas-nasty...wait, that's a whole 'nother post. Ok, where was I going with this...ah yes, the WEATHER. Cold, super blustery and cloudy...perfect for curling up at home, NOT heading out to the parade and carnival. But we had fun :) Rode a little caterpillar roller coaster that Mommy secretly LOVES...have ridden it at a different carnival a couple of years ago :)

Easter Morning!

Easter bunny forgot to come last night but miraculously pulled through at the last minute...thank heavens Thomas slept in and David distracted Grace in her room!! I had it all, but in typical Sarah-fashion, totally forgot to put the baskets together and hide them til I bolted out of bed this morning at 7! We were missing two special people something fierce but luckily Mimi was on top of her game, and had given us some special things to hide in their absence...I decided to hide them in a place they often visited with Mimi when she came over. I said "When Mimi and Pop pop would come during the week, what did they usually have in their hands? Something big and heavy..." Grace knew..."a laundry basket!" :) "Where did y'all go to help her?" "The laundry room!" And there it was...we miss you both! Happy Easter!
