Singing Happy Birthday!

Cinderella made up this song for the girls to sing with their newly decorated wands...she was awesome!

Picnic at our neighborhood park last Sunday

It was still a bit overcast and windy this day but since then it's been sunny and up to 70 degrees here!!! So we decided to bike to our park and have a picnic lunch...it's nice just to get out as a family and enjoy the little things.

She's learned to pump her legs but still loves to be pushed high!

Daddy's teaching her how to throw a frisbee (definitely shouldn't learn that from me!)

Wearing some new dress-up clothes she got at her birthday party

As of late we are all about comfort and nothing can scratch her skin so she is constantly wearing layers under her dress up clothes!

My little princess is turning 3 on Monday!

We started the birthday weekend off with a princess party with 4 of her little friends...tomorrow we'll have pizza and cupcakes with our Vegas 'family', with Ava and Ellie and then Monday Grace gets to bring cupcakes to school and then Daddy is taking her out to dinner just the two of them (yearly tradition) And then I'd say that should be enough spoiling for a 3 year old :)

Decorations

I actually made the cake!! Wilson's Fondant icing, already made up, you just roll it out and over the cake, easy as pie...a little decorative icing and voila! I CAN make a cake, wonders never cease!

Decorating their tiaras

Cinderella

Cinderella was able to make it to Grace's party and she came with gifts for the girls and wands for them to decorate...she even made up a song for the girls to sing to Grace with their wands (video coming soon) She was PERFECT! Grace was shy at first and then glued to her the rest of the party.

A tea party and cake, what more could a princess ask for?

We had dainty little finger sandwiches (PB&J, turkey and cucumber!) and the girls got to pour juice out of the tea pots into their cups...they each had their own castle cake to decorate and eat and the mommies and daddies got to have the big cake :)

The Princess Pinata

Now we dainty princesses would not dream of hitting a pinata with a baseball bat! Thankfully this one had strings that you pull and after about 5 or 6 pulls, the candy fell out!

Cinderella checking out what kind of candy the girls got

How many princesses can you cram in one little corner?

We ended the party with some presents, it was a wonderful morning!

Another run...

David and Grace brave the steep, icy, super fast hill :) Dun-dun-dun...

Sledding!

We've been having some unusual cold and rainy days in the past few weeks which meant great snow on Mt. Charleston (about an hour from where we live) We went last Monday since we all had the day off, and didn't stay for too long as they were calling for 18 inches of snow! We found some good hills and discovered a 3 year old will last for maybe 3 runs, tops, and then whine to go home. I think the snow and cold in her face did her in. Plus she didn't like having to climb to the top of the hill before sledding down (her Mama's girl :) But it was fun and a great treat to play in the 'white stuff'!

Mommy and Grace braved the wind tunnel at the museum too!

Gymcats

Here's Grace at her tumbling class...her favorites are the balance beam and the bar...and she's quite good at stomping on the plank to make the ice cream man fly up into the air (she's not holding it, the camera just caught it up in the air) I tried to catch her on the balance beam but she was too fast!
