Thomas' First Photo Shoot

We were lucky enough to have our good friend Christian come up to the house this past weekend to capture these newborn moments/shots of our little boy. Thanks again Christian!

Mommy was up to taking Grace to her 2nd day of school this past Thursday...

Thomas' first walk...

to the pool...

where he slept...

and slept some more only to open his eyes periodically to check things out...let's face it, the kid has to rest up for his all nighters!

Fun times with Jessica!

My niece Jessica flew in last Tuesday night for the week and we've thoroughly enjoyed having her! She's been a huge help, from playing with Grace, to making grilled cheese sandwiches, helping with dishes, giving Grace baths...my lifesaver.

Thomas Vincent Hoffman

Induced Friday Aug. 21st for low amniotic fluid again...I was 3 cm so they figured let's go ahead and let him come. Hooked up to pitocin at 2:30 in the afternoon but had made no real progress and by 8:30 they were threatening c-section. David had a pep talk with the belly and in the next hour and a half I went from 4 to 10 cm and was ready to push! We had to wait for the doctor to arrive, she was there by 11:00 and he was born at 11:18. 7 lbs 1 oz, 19.5 inches, dark hair...he is so sweet. Makes the funniest faces, sleeps ALOT right now, and is having a hard time breastfeeding but we're working on it. Grace is in love with him, wants to hold him all the time and he seems to perk up when he hears her voice in the room. Daddy is home this week and off and on next week and is my lifesaver right now. Does the dishes, laundry, everything that needs to be done so I can rest and focus on feeding Thomas. So far he sleeps really well, wakes up every 4 hours at night to feed...we've given him formula off and on and he gulps that down in minutes and goes right back to sleep, soundly...if we do breastfeeding it takes ALOT longer and he's not so happy but I suppose it's a work in progress. Lots to be thankful for right now in the Hoffman household! Love you all...

I love my husband dearly but seriously????!!!!

It was like he was in survival mode, deathly afraid he'd starve before I pushed this kid out. He had all of his lunch plus half of mine, with an ice cold Pepsi, then when it started to get serious in the late afternoon and contractions had set in, he felt the need for a huge tuna salad and ANOTHER ice cold pepsi...I had to take this picture.

Grace visiting before the contractions got too bad...

Before and after...

I'm in love...he's perfect in every way...now if he'd just latch on!

Treats

Ahhh, pepsi over ice chips and juice and fruit!!!

New Big Sister shirt...

Proud daddy...
