Dinner Date with My Cutie...no, not him, the little one ;)

Since Daddy was working late, Grace and I went on a date...I wanted to take her to the District because they had this giant ghost and pumpkin that I knew she'd love (although I think Bunny was her safety net (as always) and she presented him to the ghost almost like a sacrifice :) Bunny survived so in the end the ghost was harmless. Then we went to Lucille's BBQ by recommendation of several people here...don't tell David I had tri tip, he'll cry. Grace got a hamburger but I'm not sure she even took a bite out of it, she was too taken with the watermelon, pickles and fries :)

Grabbed an after-dinner lollipop and went back to see the ghost all lit up...

Grace taking pictures of me driving....don't worry, I was at a red light in the one where I'm turning back to look at her!

And OF COURSE we had to get some ice cream! And seriously, when I ask that you give it to me with the ice cream level with the cone, how hard is that?

Ended the evening with some good ole Buddy lovin' :)

My Dad sent this picture to me today...me and my brother Joe in our Aunt's wedding...and now another redhead is wearing it!

You think someone watches Mommy closely?

Getting ready for The Prince (aka Daddy) to come home and take her to the ball...I wore this dress as a flower girl in my Aunt's wedding...

Look past the snotty nose and you'll see my beautiful princess :)

Modeling our new hardware in the kitchen...we swapped out the gold pantry doorknob and hinges to match the new drawer and cabinet knobs we put on...

My little helper...

Okay now...honestly, I don't make Grace do my job! But as I was gathering up Ava and her bottle to go upstairs and feed her before laying her down for her nap, Grace very sweetly asked if she could feed her and I want her to feel involved so of course I said yes...as as always, Ava is very patient with Grace and drank away!

My Baby Girl...growing up so fast...

Swinging at the park...

Here's how we get Grace to eat her veggies...let her make her own soup out of them!

No actually, those of you that know her, know she loves veggies, especially with ranch! But I was making dinner the other night and this kept her busy...

She was a goober even back then :)

So even though we've settled into a nice routine with the babies and she seems to have relaxed a bit in sharing her toys and behaving for the most part :), we have taken to playing 'babies' alot lately...she wants me to rock her, pretend feed her a bottle, and then tonight asked to be put in the high chair and fed just like the babies...most of the time I indulge her (I secretly enjoy getting to cuddle her :) and it seems tonight was no different...she even had cheerios like the babies do with cut up banana :) Although the site of her literally spilling out of this high chair was a little too much for David and I to take!

Such a goofball...

What would Grace like to do after getting all clean and shiny from her bath?

Of course!! Go to the garage, see what Daddy is doing, and plop right down next to him to help. She came in with grease up her arm, all over her hands, but boy did she have a good time helping. And we all know David loves it too. His little mechanic.

Gilcrease Orchards

Thanks again Jenny for finding this place! We took Grace this morning, along with our good friends, Sally and Matt and Ava...we had breakfast first, yum, and then made our way up north to the orchard. Unfortunately the pumpkin patch was reeeeally picked through, there were hardly any left, but we did find one that would do. But she especially loved picking the apples from the trees, I think that was the highlight of the day for her.

Goin' for a wild ride on Daddy's legs...

More pictures taken by Grace the photographer...

Pumpkinman Sprint Triathlon

David and Christian ran a sprint triathlon this morning: Swim 750 meters, Bike 12.4 miles, Run 3.1 miles. They started at Lake Mead, biked up a very long hill into downtown Boulder City, and finished with a run. It was very exciting, we were so excited to watch Daddy race! I think he finished 15th in his division, with a time of approx. 1 hour 45 minutes. They had a live band playing great music, a great playground to play at while we waited, and we finished off with a big lunch at the local brewery. It was a fantastic morning! We're very proud of you David :)

Grace and Ellie excited to go see their Daddy's race!

Transitioning from the bike portion of the race to running...
